Five Generations!!

When I got a call to do a photo shoot with five generations of women, I almost couldn't believe my ears! I have had the privilege to have sessions with four generations of family members, my children even have their great-grandfather alive! But 5 GENERATIONS!!! What an incredible blessing it is to have a photo shoot with a great, great-grandmother!!! I knew I had to make this session work with all of our schedules. 

Four of the generations were coming in from Baltimore to see the Great Great Grandmother only for a couple days, so I moved around two of my appointments to make sure that I would be able to be there. 

When I look at this picture I see the incredible connection and love these gorgeous women have. The entire time I was with them I almost couldn't believe my eyes. It is such a huge blessing to have all of these mothers and grandmothers together. They love each other so much, it was absolutely an amazing thing to see and be a part of.

I didn't grow up with grandmothers. One of them (whom I am named for) died before I was born and the other passed just before I turned 4. I always felt like I had something missing in my life. I look at these pictures and I am just in awe of the generations of love, wisdom, connection and joy that this tiny baby has, that all of these women have. It is something so special I truly have difficulty putting it into words.

I am so so grateful that I had the privilege of meeting these beautiful and special women and capturing these wonderful moments for them to treasure forever. I wish them only health, happiness, joy and many many many more wonderful years enjoying each other!
