A little over a month ago my grandfather, affectionately known as Zayde Arthur, left us for a better place.  I can't believe how raw and empty it has left me feeling. I was so blessed to have him in my life for 30 wonderful years and miss him so much.  He was such a special man.

Since the night he left us I have found myself needing to see pictures of him. Through out the week of shiva and everyday since looking at all the pictures I have with him have been the only real way I have found to comfort myself. It is like having a small piece of him still here with me.

Pictures are so important. They help us remember, they allow us to share and they help us feel close to someone who is far away. My grandfather's house was FILLED with pictures. He loved getting pictures of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

This post is for him. In his memory I want to share this. Losing him has proved to me once again how precious photos of the people we love truly are.
